I love Valentines Day. I love it whether I have a boyfriend or if I’m completely and utterly single. Freshman year of college, I started buying my roommate Valentines gifts because it was her first year single. Since then she’s 4 years strong, and I like to think my presence has been enough love for her. Anyways– make your friend feel special this VDAY with these (last min) gift ideas <3
1.) Buy her flowers- Chances are her favorite flowers aren’t red roses, so pick out something that reminds you of her, and not the fact that it’s Valentines day. Giving a single friend roses says, “pity”, while daisies say “you brighten my day.”
2.) Buy her candy- Don’t you dare pick her up a heart-shaped box of chocolate, you KNOW she doesn’t want that. Instead, hook her up with some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or a Georgetown Cupcake.
3.) Give her a card- Let her know much you’re in friend-love with her.
4.) Find a fun piece of costume jewelry- It doesn’t have to be Valentines themed, but sometimes it’s fun to be festive. I love these Kate Spade heart earrings.
5.) Give them a new nail polish/lipstick- *I shouldn’t have to explain the importance of Sephora to you people*
6.) CANDLES!- Everyone loves to receive a candle because everyone likes to burn candles and nobody wants to buy them.
7.) BFF gear- As cheesy as it is, girls love best friend apparel/accessories. It takes us back to the elementary school days where a necklace was a promise to be friends forever.
8.) Heart shaped sunglasses- Because they are SO VDay but also SO Spring/Summer 2015 (and you can find them in so many stores)
