Rumor has it the older we get the harder it is to recover from our binge-drinking ways. I wouldn’t know because at 25 I’m still young and perfect… Just kidding. Word to the wise, the rumors are true and the pain is very real. With each passing year and each passing after-party, I can assure you the morning after gets scarier. With Sunday-day being the new Saturday-night, we all try very hard to look like we aren’t trying at all. If you’ve ever found yourself googling any of the following, please keep reading.

If your budget permits: be Rihanna for the day and splurge on a trip to an oxygen bar or an IV bar.  Otherwise, if you have time (/motivation) hit up a studio class or a steam room.

What Hangover
8pm (the night before) Apply them Lashes: This is a night before trick – Benefit Cosmetics (ask for Michelle) or Mac preferred. Lashes the night before ensures you wake up a little together (your Sunday bed-mate will thank you) $30 for a week of wear.
10am (hangover hits) Wipe off the night: Neutragena wipes – The smell of grapefruit and the fresh sting feel on your face will wake you up. $9 CVS
10:15am (hydrate) Chug-a-lug-lug: Emergen-c helps reboots those vitals ASAP. $10 CVS or Amazon Prime in bulk.
11:00 (when all visitors finally make an exit) Think Sheets.. EW, not those: Sheet Masks are a life-saver. Can be used the night before, but would get you into more trouble… I like to keep my hate-me’s to a minimum and limit use to the “day after”. This brand is by far the best and is fairly affordable. $9 for individual sheets Sephora
1:00pm (extend that blowout) Shower: When rushing to brunch, and your long-hair haircare takes too long, Psssst dry shampoo is the best. Brunette approved. Second day ONLY; don’t be gross. $10 Urban Outfitters or CVS
1:05 pm (face the music) Make yourself up: I’m not a big fan of Sunday makeup.. or any makeup. Benefit: Puff off! Wear your bags on your arms and not under your eyes… $29 goes a long way Sephora or Benefit Cosmetics. Only apply to the eye bones in a C dabbing with your finger – no rub! Two Faced: Replenishing Face Primer makes sure the layers of makeup you’ll be applying the day after are kept to a minimum LESS IS MORE. $30 Sephora.
5:00pm+ (never stop hydrating) Keep it fresh: Keep a bottle of Evian mist in your bag or in your nightstand. Spritz throughout the day as needed.
1:00am: Night masks err’night – no explanation needed
