Living in Boston is a blessing, except of course in the winter. Last night was a “so cold I can’t feel my toes” kind of evening. Fortunately my ambitious friend Tori made the treck from North End to Back Bay in order to hangout, eat ridiculously amazing burgers from Boston Burger Company (go, go right now) and watch documentaries with me. Bless her. Turn down for what, you ask? 0 degree weather.
Next on your Netflix must-watch list? Advanced Style: The Documentary. I’ve been familiar with the blog Advanced Style for a couple years now, but the message of the documentary is much stronger than a series of photographs (duh.) As i’m approaching my 22nd birthday in a week and *dreading the loss of my youth*, I was uplifted by the women of Advanced Style. These fearless fashionistas are inspiring. These women are changing the face of fashion– with more wrinkles and brighter lipstick.
I texted my trendy grandma to watch it, for the first time ever I thought we’d enjoy a movie equally. As women we’re taught to fear aging, but after watching Advanced style– I can’t wait to dye my white hair shades of pink.
