It was the best of dressed
it was the worst of dressed…
As most of us know, the Grammy’s premiered Sunday on CBS. For pop culture and fashion fanatics like myself, we mostly care about who was wearing what, and who looked like what, rather than what award was won (not sorry.)
Let’s start at the top… (literally) Madonna was one of the first celebrities to arrive.
Madonna knows that as much as we want to hate her outfit, she’ll always be the sh*t. Dressed in this Givenchy number with crazy lace, beading, and leather; I wouldn’t count this Victorian matador as one of the best dressed, but it was a sight to see.
Next up, we have Kim Kardashian in Jean Paul Gaultier.
At first glance, I thought this dress looked like Gotti drapery. I looked more and fell in love. It’s safe to assume Kanye dressed her. Her cleavage looked amazing as usual, but she also showed off her short haircut and toned legs. It was nice to see the single-strap heel paired with the slit in her dress.
Black was a common color among the bad bitches of the night…
Nicki Minaj stunned, as per usual, in Tom Ford with Giuesepe Zanotti heels. The dress was quite shimmery and fringed, and in case you were wondering– her boobs and booty looked phenomenal.
Queen B looked like a natural beauty with her hair and makeup choice, but wowed us with her custom beaded and lace gown designed by Proenza Schouler. As amazing as she looked, Bey tends to stay in the same zone for her red carpet dresses.
Jessie J surprised many and made it on most of the “best dressed” lists for the Grammy’s. Usually in an unusual outfit, she wore a floral lace/sheer and beaded Ralph and Russo dress with slicked, straight hair. A big year in music must call for red carpet upgrade (and maybe a stylist.)
Miley Cyrus, also in black, impressed us with cutouts in this Alexandre Vauthier gown.
A fan of Taylor Swift or not, you can’t deny how amazing she looked.
Elie Saab styled this custom dress that T-Swift paired with the fuchsia heels. It was definitely one of my favorite looks of the night and she carried the dress with ease; I mean who wouldn’t with legs like those?! Time for power couples of the night. Who would I put first? Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, but of course.

Teigen is wearing a Pucci dress with hot underboob and sideboob. The stunning white dress accents her tan and fits perfectly with her husband’s outfit as well. John Legend wore Dolce & Gabbana, and it looks on-point if I do say so myself. Both of them made a number of best dressed lists.
you shouldn’t have to shave your bikini line for a gown but well, here i am

The semi-new couple Big Sean and Ariana Grande were probably the “most adorable” at the Grammy’s. Big Sean went with a YSL tuxedo- classic all-black, which could never fail in my opinion. Grande’s floor length white gown was designed by Versace, which she wore with her signature high-ponytail.
I was definitely shocked when I saw Zendaya sport a somewhat pixie cut…
….until I later found out it was a wig. As far as her dress goes: absolutely horrendous from the back, but not so bad from the front. The only thing that could horrify me more me more than this was Pharrell wearing shorts….
OK, I get it. This is your Adidas line, but it was the GRAMMYS. The cool thing about his outfit is that when you photograph it, it turns white. But to the eye without camera flash, it’s gray with the signature, black adidas stripes down the side. Either way, I hated it.
Best dressed men
Nick Jonas wore Versace. Made our jaws drop like those CK advertisements in his undies.
Aloe Blacc ‘woke me up’ with this hot suit. He rocked a bright navy suit paired with gray/blue accents such as his shoes and tie. This was definitely my favorite of the night.
As someone who always knows how to dress on the red carpet, Ne-Yo sported Marc Jacobs head-to-toe. The undershirt and jacket color scheme was an impressive touch. If there is one transition we need to pay attention to, it is Lady Gaga’s.

She was my woman crush of the night. I have always noticed that Gaga has a kickin’ bod, but she showed off every curve last night. Her skin looked flawless, there wasn’t a hair out of place, and her legs were toned and visible. She has come so far and will always remain one of my favorites- even with her wacky fashion statements. Gaga wore a Brandon Maxwell floor length gown, as she was on hottie Tony Bennett’s arm.
My worst dressed of the night?
Rihanna. She wore a Giambattista Valli Couture dress. Although I have read that people thought it was “fun” I honestly thought she looked like a big, pink cotton ball. I get the whole fun of it; because it’s so damn poofy with tulle, but really…c’mon.
Who better to pair her with “my worst dressed” then Chris Brown?
With his new blue hair, I couldn’t find anything I liked about this outfit. The undid bow-tie, the glasses, the hat…. He looked like Ducky from Pretty in Pink. Sorry Chris.
The artists of the night didn’t disappoint with who designed their dresses and how they presented themselves. My favorite thing about red carpet season: falling in love with beautiful dresses and critiquing the rest
