To many fashion girls, someones handbag speaks volumes about them.
To me, a goal-bag is a career aspiration accessory. For instance, my long-term dream bag is a Chanel. I don’t expect nor desire to be Birkin rich (but I wouldn’t hate it!) My short-term goal was to have a Zac Posen bag, something I was able to accomplish 😉
I’m all for shopping at fast-fashion, inexpensive shops. However, there is something to be said about having a bag that tells a story about who you are. But before we’re reading to tell our fashion story, one that takes years, we have to take the first step– a gateway bag.
If this is your first designer purchase, start with a gateway drug.
Nobody’s first great bag was Prada. Instead, lets start with Fashion 2.0 “Top Innovator” Rebecca Minkoff. Her bags are priced similarly to Marc by Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, and Tory Burch; but RM has something they don’t have— interactive customers (they won most Interactive retailer award as well.) The label-less sensation is sustainable in a world of recycled contemporary fashion.
Celebrity fans include Lauren Conrad, Olivia Palermo, Ashley Tisdale, Ariana Grande, and a ton of others.
P.S If you love Fendi “bag bugs”, she makes key fobs that do the trick 😉
