Fashion question: is it cool to wear matching outfits?
MK + A have been saying yes since the days of Olsen & Olsen Mystery Agency. These are the geniuses behind Elizabeth & James as well as The Row. I think they’re probably on to something. I mean, they knew the homeless look was cool long before Free People rose to popularity.
Then Fashion week happened. Caroline Vreeland and Shea Marie of PeaceLoveShea wore these matching VEDA jackets. Suddenly I wanted to match with my BFF. I looked up the jackets, I quickly decided against the purchase after seeing the price tag, but I was still interested in the future.
You aren’t dressing up for a Christmas Card. There’s no need to try and look like blonde family on Nantucket in matching Lilly Pulitzer. Just coordinate. There is a grownup way to do it too. I don’t love the fam, but you have to credit Kendall + Gigi, these outfits are on fire.

last min bff nye outfit?
- All black er’thang.
- Coordinate, casually.
- Less is more, don’t look like a clone.
- BFF #1: black fur coat, tank or bodysuit, coated or leather pants, booties, glam earrings.
- BFF #2: black fur vest, long-sleeved or turtleneck dress, knee or thigh-high boots, glam earrings.
