This month I went to LA and experienced one of the most boujee weekends of my life. It’s been a rough winter in Boston, and I’m having trouble coming to terms with reality. Friends on the west coast– do you know anyone looking for roommates? Need sunshine and 90 degree weather in my life.
My trip started off as unglamorous as possible. My bag didn’t make it on the same flight as me *eye roll.* Coming from a place where we have earned the nickname “massholes”, it was a little difficult getting used to how nice everyone is in California. When you come from a place where everyone is as cold as the weather, it’s surprising to have someone ‘talk your ear off.’
Everything else about my visit was glam AF. I ate bomb food, saw drag queens slay & hiked a mountain! I spotted Taylor Lautner out to dinner with his girlfriend Billie Lourd (aka #BAELOR), who plays Chanel #3 in Scream Queens. Every night is a good night to go out in LA. You might go broke, but you’ll never get bored.
As you may have noticed, they also breed fashion bloggers. That’s because LA is one of the best places to up your Instagram game. Your feed will thank you later. It was hard not to notice that every restaurant, coffee shop & boutique is ready for their photo opportunity. I gained more than 100 followers while I was there! I took so many tourist photos that my phone was constantly reminding me that my storage was almost full…
Though I didn’t get the opportunity to visit all these places, these are 10 best Instagram opportunities to lookout for in LA! Missing your favorite spot? Comment below & let our readers know!
Hollywood Sign
The most obvious of them all: the Hollywood sign. If you go to LA and don’t at least attempt to hike the Hollywood sign, did you even go to California? It was one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever been on (let’s be real, I never hike).
Tip: bring as much water as you can on this hike.

Alfred Coffee
This was the cutest coffeeshop I have ever been to. It’s every girl’s dream in there. Everything is so pretty. I found myself taking a million photos. They have everything from matcha lattes and cold brew to kombucha. If I could pick one coffeeshop to go to for the rest of my life, it would be Alfred Coffee (one of the main reasons I want to move to LA). Put this place at the top of your list.
Mama Shelter Rooftop
Boston rooftops don’t even compare to the ones in Los Angeles. The vibe is a lot more sophisticated and chic and almost every rooftop has a pool. If you love rooftops and sangria, Mama Shelter is the right place for you. What’s better than getting tan with a beautiful view and a few drinks?
Mama loves you.
The Nice Guy
We went to The Nice Guy on our last night in LA. It was the most amazing way to end a perfect vacation. We dressed to impress that night and channeled our inner-Kardashian attitudes. Many celebrities have been seen at this restaurant and the first person I saw when we walked in was Taylor Lautner. I tried to play it cool, but I was freaking out inside.
