As of this month I have been blogging for seven years! Even though I have made it my goal to stay completely transparent on the internet, I still have a lot I haven’t shared with the world. Unless you follow me on twitter, in which case this may not be news. Since Mack in Style was started in 2011, i’m going to share 11 facts I haven’t mentioned on my blog before!

1. I have spent my free time this summer memorizing a map of the world. I almost have it completely down, but small island nations + the western coast of Africa get me every time. To help me with this, if there is a country I know absolutely nothing about, i’ll watch YouTube videos on them. I also love trying new cuisines and have a spreadsheet on where to get food from every country within NYC.
2. My exercise of choice is kickboxing! I started in January and I’ve lost 15lbs. My gloves are obviously pink. I’m an unlimited member of ILOVEKICKBOXING (let me know if you want more info on this), but I also love taking yoga (Y7 for life) and dance classes (at Broadway Bodies.) After 7 months of working out, I finally look like someone who works out!
3. I have diagnosed ADHD and took adderall for 5 years. I quit 2 years ago and I have been chubbier, less productive, but happier ever since. I’m also sleeping much better without the pills. They were helpful, of course, but that addy life is not sustainable! I gained a lot of weight when I quit, which i’m still trying to work off now.
4. I love the Sims 4 and would play way more often if it didn’t take up so much space on my computer! The best part of being an adult with my own money is buying expansion packs whenever I feel like it– unfortunately my external hard drive is full.
5. My favorite show is Survivor and I binge watch old seasons all the time. I got into it because i’m a fan of Big Brother and I heard they were similar. I’d love to be on Survivor, but I get very hungry, very quickly. Still, I consider auditioning on a weekly basis. I have no interested in reality TV fame, I just want a shot at playing. 
6.  I live in Astoria, Queens in New York and I love it. For awhile I was a little self conscious about not living in a “cool” part of the city, but now I fully embrace it. After all, my Queens rent allows me to live a Manhattan lifestyle– and I don’t spend all my salary on living expenses! Not to mention my favorite meal is Greek salad with lemon potatoes– and there is no shortage of feta in the Greek neighborhood of Astoria 🙂
7. I’m obsessed with celebrity gossip and am a member of multiple private Facebook groups that discuss “blind items” + pop culture news. My favorite celebrity gossip podcast is Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald. 
8. My sister Taylor, my mom + myself are all a little bit psychic. We often have dreams that come true and have very strong intuition. I’m pretty sure we inherited it from my grandmother, who is a priest, and has a innate ability to connect with anyone. My very specific psychic skill is that I can predict who the guy i’m currently dating will hookup with after me. I have been correct every single time I’ve had this dream. And none of these pairs were obvious matches!! It’s a blessing and a curse. 
9. My favorite website is REDDIT! I am active on several subreddits; The Amazing Race, The Bachelor, Big Brother and Survivor. I love engaging in these super niche communities. I got into Reddit because Ben is obsessed with the site– he spends hours reading about watches. I spend my time comparing CBS reality TV show characters, but I promise I’m really cool.
10. I’m very passionate about abortion rights and often feel guilty that I’m not doing more to protect women’s health in this country. If you’re reading this, you should make a donation to Planned Parenthood and register to vote so we can get these gremlins out of office. 
11. I rent pretty much everything I wear. As most of you know, i’m obsessed with Rent the Runway, but I also rent my jewelry from a website called Switch. They are fairly new so their selection is small, but beautiful. I’m currently wearing a diamond necklace from them that I never want to take off. Bonus fact: I recently switched to waterproof mascara and wish I had done it sooner. I wear “Better Than Sex” by Too Faced + it has changed my life (the blue tube!!) I know this isn’t super unique to ~my life~, but i’m just saying you should do it too. I no longer have black flakiness under my eyes + my mascara stays on point all day!
