Five Favorite Things

March 7, 2018

As a blogger, I am constantly trying out new products and brands. It’s part of the gig. Though i’m usually open to trying new things, there are have been a few items that I can’t imagine replacing. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite’s to share with you.

mizon Snail Cream

Shoutout to my friend Chelsea Bess who showed me the magical wonder that is snail cream. This is a product both myself and my boyfriend Ben endorse. It’s a hydrating cream formulated with 92% snail extract. Your skin will love you. Ben has super sensitive and acne prone skin, and he has never had an issue with it. I have very clear and non-oily skin, and this stuff is crucial to me. Everyone in Asia loves it. Two words: dewy glow.

Purchase: Peach & Lily for $19

Becca swim

I love Becca swim. Since purchasing two of her one-pieces last year, i’ve tried to mix it up with other brands. Nothing even compares. Her stuff is amazing, and as far as designer swim goes, not too pricey. You’ll spend ~$120 on a one-piece or bikini set. I wear a large for reference.

Purchase: Dillards for $128

crazy rich asians

If you know me at all you know I read all the time. My favorite book, by far, is Crazy Rich Asians. I love all three installments of the book. If you haven’t read it yet, you absolutely must. I now have dreams of visiting Singapore. Read now before the movie comes out!

Purchase: Paperback $10 via Amazon

Sam edelman shoes

“Are those more comfortable than regular heels” I’ve asked many friends in designer pumps from Christian Louboutin or Valentino. “Not really” they usually answer. For this reason, I don’t feel compelled to invest in expensive designer heels. Secondly, I don’t wear them often enough to justify. I’m happy in my $100 Sam Edelman shoes, thank you very much. I always buy a pair of classic black sandals on sale in the fall for ~$40, and a pair of perfect, classic boots in the winter.

Purchase: $110 from Sam Edelman

rainbow by kesha

Robbed Goddess Kesha (formerly Ke$ha) put out the world’s greatest album last year. I could listen to it on repeat forever. You should too! Favorite songs include “Bastards”, “Hymn” + “Praying”, but all of it is really good. Listen on Youtube or wherever.
